Jodie Sweetin is speaking out about the Full House cast’s relationship with the Olsen twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

If you don’t know, the trio co-starred as sisters Michelle and Stephanie Tanner on the show, which ran from 1987 and 1995. Jodie went on to reprise her role in the Fuller House reboot on Netflix from 2016-2020, but the Olsen twins declined to participate. Candace Cameron Bure also starred as their sister, DJ.

“Everyone’s on good terms with them, but they were 8 years old when this show stopped. Then they did all of those movies and all that stuff that I don’t know that they really loved doing all the time,” Jodie explained on the “Comics and Kicks” podcast, hosted by Taboo.

“So I think, for them, they walked away from all of us at 8 years old,” she shared. “Eight and earlier, you don’t remember all that much.”

Jodie continued, “They have a different relationship to being on set all the time. They might not remember being two years old and having, you know, us all carrying them around and doing this stuff, but I do. That’s not their thing.”

She added that the famous twins “don’t want attention” and acting is “not their thing.”

Find out which Fuller House actor was initially angry that the Olsen twins did not return for the show.
