Tony-nominated Ana Gasteyer will end her limited run in Broadway‘s Schmigadoon! next month, the production announced today.

Gasteyer’s final performance in the Tony-winning musical is Sunday, September 6.

The former SNL cast member plays villainous preacher’s wife Mildred Layton in the musical. A replacement is yet to be announced.

Gasteyer received excellent reviews for her scene-stealing comic turns when the show opened Monday, April 20, at the Nederlander Theatre.

Schmigadoon! stars Alex Brightman and Sara Chase as Josh Skinner and Melissa Gimble, a couple who accidentally wanders into Schmigadoon – “the magical town where every day is a musical.”

The most Tony Award-nominated musical of the season, Schmigadoon! won four Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations. Gasteyer was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical.

The musical also stars Ann Harada, Brad Oscar, Isabelle McCalla, Ivan Hernandez, Maulik Pancholy, Max Clayton, McKenzie Kurtz and Ayaan Diop.
