Josh Duhamel is dishing on his baby girl.
The 53-year-old actor and his wife, Audra Mari, welcomed their second child together earlier this year, a baby girl named Rocca. This is his first daughter, after they welcomed a son, Shepherd, 2, and he shares a son, Axl, 12, with ex Fergie.
In a new SiriusXM Hits 1 interview while promoting the just-released second season of Ransom Canyon, Josh opened up about being a girl dad now and how she’s doing.
He shared that she’s only two months old now, and it was noted by the interviewer, Nicole Ryan, that he hasn’t yet gotten into the nitty-gritty of it yet.
“No, I haven’t. So, she’s just sort of coming out of that fog that these babies do, and she just smiled at me for the first time, and she’s got this funny little smile,” Josh shared. “She looks up, she recognizes me now, and so it’s starting to happen, you know, and I just already have such a love for her.”
Nicole added that it has to be hard being away for work.
“It’s one of my, you know, and that’s what this last movie [Runaway] was really about. It was about this guy who was a detective who ended up, who lost his daughter. Him and his daughter had, after the loss of his wife, him and his daughter sort of went their own ways. She came to him. He worked too much, and she ended up dying of an overdose and this whole movie is about the regret that he had for not,” Josh said.
“It was so funny because while I was shooting this movie, I was like, ‘Oh my god, I cannot be this guy. This cannot be my story,’ and so, if anything else, it was a cautionary tale,” he continued. “Not that I’m learning my life lessons on set, but it was like a real sort of moment where, ‘Oh my god, dude, you need to make sure that you’re there more,’ and I’m not. The truth is, I’m not there enough, and I need to be there more often.”
