Did you know that Dolly Parton has her own theme park?
The beloved country music superstar, who just passed away at the age of 80, opened her amusement park in 1986, taking over the previous Silver Dollar City park.
Years later, Dolly said that she decided to purchase an interest in the park because she “always thought that if I made it big or got successful at what I had started out to do, that I wanted to come back to my part of the country and do something great, something that would bring a lot of jobs into this area.”

Where is Dollywood?
Dollywood is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The closest major city is Knoxville and the park is about a one-hour drive from the airport there.
There are multiple hotels on the theme park property, including the DreamMore Resort and Spa and the HeartSong Lodge & Resort. If you stay at these hotels, you get complimentary shuttles to the theme park, early park entry, and special TimeSaver passes.

How much are tickets for Dollywood?
In 2026, a single-day ticket for Dollywood for an adult starts at $94.99 and a two-day ticket for an adult starts at $124.99. Buy yours here!
Children ages 4-9 and seniors who are 62 or over get a reduced ticket for $84.99 for a single-day visit. Children three and under are free.
Dolly Parton made frequent visits to Dollywood
Dolly visited the park back in March 2026 for the season opening. She often would ride around in a carriage, waving to all of her fans.
