Vicki Gunvalson's kids haven't been whooping it up together in nearly a decade.

Her son Michael Wolfsmith, 40, shared that his relationship with sister Briana Culberson, 39—who have both appeared alongside their mom on RHOC—isn’t as close as it once was.

"I haven't seen Briana since eight years," Michael admitted to Vicki during a July 30 episode of the show. "I haven't even met two of her kids. Not good." 

And Michael—who relocated to Spain in 2025 long after Briana moved to the Midwest following her 2011 marriage to husband Ryan Culberson—has no plans of returning to Orange County to reconnect with his roots. 

"I liked growing up here," Michael conceded during the filmed lunch. "It's just, this area is kind of boring. It's good for families." 

That’s why Michael prefers to work remotely from Spain as the Vice President of Life Insurance for Vicki's company, Coto Insurance. As he summed it up, "I don't know, I kind of like my selfish life."

And though Michael has pursued a life of adventure, he also clarified that's not the reason he hasn't reconnected with Briana. When the travel lover reshared the Bravo scene on social media, he elaborated on what he felt led to the sibling estrangement.

"I’ve never been invited out there, and she doesn’t visit CA. I was living in Hawaii and now Spain," Michael wrote on Instagram. "A couple years ago I said I wanted to visit when I was fairly close to Oklahoma, and she said it wasn’t a good time because of her husband who I don’t get along with very well."

"I was ready to book a flight a couple years ago," Michael continued in a second comment. "They can come visit CA too when I’m there. I was staying at my mom’s + her desert house for 3 months this year."

As for Vicki's take on the distance between her kids? 

"It absolutely sucks that my kids live far away. Mike's in Spain, Briana lives in Oklahoma," Vicki explained in her Real Housewives confessional. "They talk all the time, they FaceTime, but it's definitely better to be in person."

Aside from wishing her family could have regular Sunday dinners, Vicki expressed regret about how her relationships impacted their home life, including her 2010 breakup with Donn Gunvalson.

"One of my biggest regrets is Donn and I getting divorced," Vicki confessed. "It broke the family apart," adding that she now feels "guilty, remorseful, sad” about the situation.

"It's not what I had ever planned, but it's their life," Vicki noted, quipping, "I have to sit back and have a cigarette, and I don't even smoke."
