Mikal Bridges, one of the players on the New York Knicks, went on Instagram Live after the team won the NBA Championship on Monday (June 15), and his comments got his teammate Jalen Brunson‘s attention!

If you don’t know, the team won their first NBA championship in 53 years on Saturday night (June 13) at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, when they defeated the San Antonio Spurs.

Some of what Mikal discussed included how Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon once said the Knicks didn’t have a “1a,” which was a dig at Brunson. He also sang Coldplay to his dog, and spoke about the New York Knicks no sex rule rumors.

His live quickly went viral online, as fans were loving how free and fun he was in the days after the major accomplishment.

Some of the clips were reposted on X, and his teammate actually saw some of what he was saying.

Jalen took to Twitter (aka X) to reveal his thoughts on Mikal‘s candid comments.

The MVP wrote, “Somebody take Mikal’s phone.” Fans are noting that this is Jalen‘s first tweet since March 10.

The Knicks players have a full schedule coming up, including The Tonight Show appearance later this evening, and the victory parade on Thursday in NYC!
