A24 British Shows ‘It Gets Worse,’ ‘Major Players’ and ‘The Ministry of Time’ to Stream on Paramount+ in U.S.

Paramount+ has snapped up U.S. streaming rights to three new original British series from A24.

Comedy “It Gets Worse,” coming-of-age drama “Major Players” and the screen adaptation of “The Ministry of Time” are all headed to the streamer in the U.S. as well as select other regional territories.

“It Gets Worse,” about a trio who became friends at university and move to London, is created and exec produced by Leo Reich and stars Reich, Emily Fairn (“House of Guinness”), Olive Gray (“Halo”) and Sean Delaney (“Killing Eve”) among its cast as well as guest stars including Lena Dunham and Andrew Scott. It will drop early November.

“Major Players” is written by “How To Have Sex” auteur Molly Manning Walker and Yasmin Joseph (“A Thousand Blows”). It tells the story of two girls on the brink of adulthood who start a women’s soccer team.

“The Ministry of Time” is an adaptation of Kaliane Bradley’s novel of the same name. Adapted by Alice Birch (“Succession”), it follows civil servant Sophy (Aoife Hinds) as she discovers her new top-secret role is helping a time traveller acclimatize to the modern world.
