Formula 1 heads to one of its most storied tracks this weekend, as the Italian Grand Prix takes over the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
The 2026 Italian Grand Prix takes place Sunday, Sept. 6, with the race starting at 9 a.m. ET/6 a.m. PT. Apple TV’s race-day coverage begins at 7:50 a.m. ET. Practice sessions began Friday, Sept. 4, while the final practice and qualifying take place Saturday.
The 2026 campaign marks Formula 1’s first season under its new U.S. broadcasting agreement with Apple. The companies announced a five-year partnership last October making Apple TV the exclusive American home of F1 beginning this season, replacing ESPN, which had carried the sport in the U.S. since 2018.
There should be plenty worth tuning in for at Monza. Italian driver Kimi Antonelli enters Round 13 atop the drivers’ standings with 242 points, holding a 59-point advantage over Mercedes teammate George Russell. Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton is tied with Russell at 183 points, followed by McLaren’s Lando Norris at 159 and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc at 155. Mercedes also leads the constructors’ championship with 425 points, ahead of Ferrari at 338 and McLaren at 263.
