Sports betting platform FanDuel rolls out its upgraded app, with an ad campaign featuring an All-American Rejects cover of a Johnny Cash classic.
In a new ad campaign to announce the rollout of sports betting platform FanDuel’s upgraded app, the company has gone all out tapping rock band The All-American Rejects for their cover of Johnny Cash’s iconic track, “I’ve Been Everywhere.” The song features in a new ad campaign, “FanDuel Everywhere,” which is launching to build awareness that the company’s products are available nationwide.
For the band, it was an obvious choice: a chance to re-imagine one of Cash’s most recognizable songs through their own unmistakable sound.
“We had so much fun putting gasoline on this classic country swing song made popular by Johnny Cash. Once FanDuel approached us after hearing our version of this song, we were so excited not only because we are sports junkies, but because their creative team made such a great music video for it in their ad,” shared The All-American Rejects. “As an independent artist, opportunities like this help keep our pursuits of affordable access to live shows alive for our fans. We love that FanDuel bets on an underdog.”
The campaign arrives as FanDuel launches its upgraded app nationwide, featuring Sportsbook, FanDuel Predicts, Casino, and Racing together under one account. It automatically surfaces the products that are legally available to customers based on their locations.
FanDuel’s timing couldn’t be better, having announced its new Sportsbook feature ahead of the NFL season. It includes a new loyalty program with points-based rewards, expanded bet protection, and enhanced research tools.
“Our customers look forward to football season, and this year we’re giving more control of their experience to make it the most rewarding season ever,” said Karol Corcoran, Managing Director, Sports at FanDuel. “Rewards Club offers those who continue to choose FanDuel Sportsbook more promotions and flexibility in how they use them, and we’re also thrilled to bring new research tools and an enhanced version of our popular Bet Protect+ to the NFL.”
Additional features expected to roll out later in the season include player prop trends, player favoriting, injury reports, and league rankings.
