Summer House is going international!!
The hit Bravo reality show has just kicked off production on Summer House Canada, in partnership between NBCUniversal and the Hayu streaming service, according to THR.
“See you at the cottage,” Hayu wrote on Instagram with the news. “It’s going to be a summer to remember… Summer House Canada is now in production.”
Vancouver-based indie company Lark Productions is producing the Canadian spinoff, with filming taking place in Muskoka, Ontario, which is where the cottage in the finale of Heated Rivalry is located!
The series will “bring together a group of friends escaping to a shared house on summer weekends,” which, of course, follows the same format as the OG series.
“We’re thrilled to bring this adaptation of the standout Summer House format to the market — and Muskoka offers the perfect, iconic Canadian setting to introduce Summer House Canada and build on the franchise’s momentum,” Hendrik McDermott, managing director, international DTC (director to consumer) at NBCUniversal, shared in a statement.
“Summer House has become a beloved global franchise known for its authentic friendships, big personalities and the unforgettable moments that come from spending a summer together. We’re excited to build on that by bringing the Canadian summer experience to fans worldwide,” Erin Haskett, president and executive producer, Lark Productions, added.
No word yet on who is in the cast. The series will debut on Hayu in 2027, and there’s no word yet on a Bravo premiere. The Real Housewives of London, a Hayu original, was recently acquired to air on Bravo starting this summer, a year after it first debuted!
This marks the second spinoff of Summer House, following two seasons of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard, which took place in the popular destination in Massachusetts.
