The Warning is ready to play ball. As announced Monday (Aug. 31), the Mexican rock trio comprised of sisters Daniela, Paulina and Alejandra Villarreal will headline a halftime show at the 2026 Mexico City NFL game between the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers.
Taking place at 7:20 p.m. local time on Nov. 22 at Estadio Banorte, the game will mark one of nine international games played this season. There will be halftime shows at seven of those nine games presented by American Express amid the NFL’s ongoing longterm mission of expanding globally.

Ayra Starr to Become First Afrobeats Star to Headline NFL International Game Halftime Show
“We are beyond thrilled to be part of this NFL event in our home country and at such an iconic stadium,” The Warning said in a statement. “We love the NFL, and every time we work together, we cannot wait to do it again. Playing the halftime show during an international Sunday night game is an incredible privilege, and we cannot wait to show fans what Mexico and its people have to offer.
“It will be a night to remember — we’ll do what we do best and amp up the excitement of the game,” the sisters continued. “You have been warned!”
The group’s big news comes on the heels of their recent Billboard chart achievement: A few days ago, The Warning became both the first Mexican band and the first all-women band to top the Mainstream Rock Airplay tally, with their single “Kerosene.” The track is part of the sisters’ new album Everything’s Falling, which dropped Friday (Aug. 28).
“Mexico City has a deep passion for both football and music, and The Warning brings the energy, authenticity and local connection we look for when creating these performances,” added Tim Tubito, senior director of the NFL’s global game presentation, music and entertainment. “As one of Mexico’s most exciting rock acts, they are the perfect choice to take the stage at Estadio Banorte and deliver a halftime show that feels made for this city and gives fans an unforgettable moment on game day.”
Other international halftime slots have been filling up in recent weeks, with the league announcing Aug. 27 that Ayra Starr will play midway through the London match-up between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars. Ricky Martin is set to perform at the Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys game in Rio de Janeiro, and the Jonas Brothers will headline halftime in Melbourne as the San Francisco 49ers face off against the Los Angeles Rams for the first-ever NFL game in Australia.
Fans can watch The Warning’s full halftime performance live on TelevisaUnivision’s Canal 5 in Mexico and on ESPN.
