Giovanni Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based production and finance company, has expanded its executive ranks and has appointed Teodros “Ted” Horning to the role of creative executive.

In his new role, Horning will help oversee Giovanni Entertainment’s film and new media slate, covering development, production, and financing as the company builds out its content studio. The company’s slate includes Ramin Bahrani’s romantic thriller “Vegas: A Love Story,” starring Maika Monroe, Brandon Sklenar, Paul Dano and Michael Shannon; the survival thriller “In Tandem,” starring Emile Hirsch and Benjamin Norris; the drama “That One Beautiful Day,” starring Oscar-winner Mira Sorvino; and S. Craig Zahler’s upcoming film “The Bookie and The Bruiser,” starring Vince Vaughn, Theo James, and Patrick Schwarzenegger, with Guidotti and Mark Korshak serving as executive producers.

Horning brings nearly a decade of experience in film development. He most recently served as story editor at Flynn Picture Co., where he collaborated with high-profile producers and talent to develop and produce a diverse slate of projects including “Jungle Cruise,” “Red Notice” and “Black Adam.” He began his career as a production assistant at Lakeshore Entertainment and then joined Flynn Picture Co. as producer’s assistant to Beau Flynn and Scott Sheldon, where he supported development and production on major studio titles.

Horning is based in Los Angeles and joins executive Alexandra Carbone at their offices on The Lot at Formosa, where he will report to Chief Media Officer Mark Korshak and CEO Giovanni James Guidotti.

“Ted is exactly the kind of executive we wanted to bring into the fold — someone who has grown up in the development process and has the creative instincts and industry relationships to match,” said Guidotti. “He’s joining us at a moment of real momentum, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him on the team.”

“Giovanni Entertainment has put together one of the most exciting independent slates out there right now, and I’m genuinely honored to be part of it,” said Horning. “I came up learning every layer of this business, and I’m looking forward to putting all of that to work alongside Giovanni and Mark as we keep building.”
