Colin Farrell, Charlie Heaton, Domhnall Gleeson, and more stars have joined the upcoming Irish thriller film Bad Bridget.

The newcomers join leads Emilia Jones and Alison Oliver in the film from Kneecap director Rich Peppiatt. Variety reports that additional stars in the cast include Steve Coogan, Himesh Patel, Niamh Algar, and Simone Kirby. Filming is set to get underway in Northern Ireland in July.

What is Bad Bridget about?

According to the outlet, Bad Bridget is “set in the 19th century against the backdrop of a famine-ravaged Ireland, and focuses on two sisters who make a treacherous journey to America to escape an abusive father, poverty and hunger. Once in New York, they join the ranks of other Irish women, the so-called ‘Bridgets,’ creating mayhem in the city.”

Netflix will release the film, which is being produced by Margot Robbie‘s production company Lucky Chap.

Charlie is best known for his work on Stranger Things and he’s been kept quite busy since the show ended with stints on Industry and a role in the upcoming Peaky Blinders prequel series.

Colin is currently starring in the second season of Apple TV series Sugar and he was also spotted going on a shirtless run in Los Angeles earlier this year!
