Nine months after launching, Quantizr, billed as an AI-powered “financial command center for live entertainment,” has secured a $5 million seed raise.
The Park City, Utah-headquartered startup formally disclosed its multimillion-dollar round, led by Exactuals backer TTV Capital, this afternoon. Though there’s seemingly quite a lot happening at Quantizr, in general, it’s described as consolidating live data points, automatically pulled from contracts, budget docs, and more, into a real-time “collaborative platform.”
According to the appropriate website, said collaborative platform then enables artist and business managers to “eliminate errors,” generate a variety of forecasts, unlock related insights, and track commissions via a central hub, among other things.
“Quantizr uses AI to eliminate hours of manual work typically spent on financial operations,” the Joshua Litwack-founded company summed up.
Back to the actual funding, the round also drew support from Culture Collective founder Jonathan Azu, Make Wake Artists’ Chris Kappy, and Andy Levine (the founder of “connected music vacations” specialist Topeka).
Regarding what comes next, Quantizr is targeting additional user growth – the startup says it’s “quadrupled its user base and signed large enterprise contracts” since the initially mentioned rollout – and a wider objective of expanding “financial infrastructure for the live entertainment industry.”
At the intersection of both goals, a three-month free trial is currently available for the newly released “Quantizr Tour Financials” offering. In a statement, TTV co-founder Gardiner Garrard noted the company’s perceived “potential to transform financial operations in live entertainment, making it possible for managers to run more profitable tours and meaningful fan experiences.”
Meanwhile, the former BlackRock director Litwack in remarks of his own underscored an objective of helping teams free up time and resources so they can zero in “on the human work that moves an artist’s business forward.”
“AI should not replace the people who create music or build careers. It should remove the repetitive work that takes time away from the creative processes that drive artist success,” Litwack said. “Our goal is to give teams a clearer view of the money behind a tour so they can protect margins, make smarter calls, and spend more time on the human work that moves an artist’s business forward.”
As for how Quantizr’s seed round fits into the bigger funding picture, following a multitude of massive gen AI and catalog raises, the past couple months have seen several quick-rising live startups pull down capital.
Looking to make a splash under the broad live banner in one way or another, the operationally diverse entities specialize in everything from promotion to discovery. But between them, Triangle Group, thumpN, Swsh, and now Quantizr have raised nearly $30 million.
