EXCLUSIVE: Denise Richards and Casper Van Dien are teaming up for the first time on-screen since big-budget 90’s action movie Starship Troopers.

Richards and Van Dien have recently wrapped in Hamilton, Ontario, on thriller No Free Lunch, the third film in the Horizon line/March On Productions slate, which also includes Silent Nightfall starring Stana Katic, Elisha Cuthbert and Talia Asseraf, and Greatest Actress starring Mena Suvari and C. Thomas Howell.

No Free Lunch also stars Arcadia Kendal (Sacrifice), Sebastian Pigott (The Order), Lara Daans (King of Sorrow), Annie Malee (Satisfaction).

The synopsis reads: “Mother-daughter duo (Arcadia Kendal, Lara Daans) fight for their lives after a college drop-off goes awry. Kidnapped by a deranged former surgeon (Sebastian Pigott) pining to fulfill a promise to his dead mother, their relationship is tested through a series of sadistic games as he plots to woo and marry one of them. Before his planned murder-suicide can unfold, detectives and FBI agents (Denise Richards, Casper Van Dien), on the slimmest of leads, race to rescue mother and daughter.”

Directed by Damian Lee, produced by Bennet De Brabandere of Horizon Line, and executive-produced by Richard Salvatore of March On, the film is due to be released in spring, 2027.

Larissa Laskin and Damian Lee share writing credits; Maurizio Guarini is scoring the picture; Raf Strupinski was the director of photography. Roman Kopelevich of Red Sea Media is handling international distribution and will be talking to buyers at the TIFF market. Quiver Distribution is handling domestic sales.
