Disney is set to launch and premiere its first creator event, Created in L.A.

The company is teaming up with creator, entrepreneur and media personality Jon Youshaei to launch Created in L.A., the premiere creator event for the next generation of storytellers. Created in LA, is designed to bring 350 creators, innovators and industry leaders together, creating opportunities to exchange ideas, build relationships and unpack the future of creator-led storytelling and the business behind it.

Created in L.A. runs from Sept. 17-18 at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre.

Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer, The Walt Disney Company, said, “Disney has always been a place where great storytellers come together.” Asad went on to say, “Today’s creators are some of the best storytellers reaching generations, building communities and connecting fans around the things they love, and we look forward to welcoming them to Disney for Created in L.A.”

The event was conceived and hosted by Youshaei, whose career involves leadership roles at YouTube and Instagram, as well as his own success as a creator. He is known for in-depth interviews and behind-the-scenes conversations with creators and entertainers including MrBeast, Mark Rober and Kevin Hart.

“This is historic. After 100 years, it’s surreal to see Disney open two of its most iconic venues — the El Capitan Theatre and The Walt Disney Studios lot — to creators.” said Youshaei. “Especially now that the worlds of Hollywood and creators are growing closer than ever. I’m beyond grateful to work with Disney to bring Created in L.A. to life.”
