Saturday Night Live U.K. is back on the weekend agenda. The U.K. spinoff of the long-running NBC sketch show has been confirmed to return for season two, with six fresh weekly episodes beginning Sept. 12.

The inaugural season premiered in March, with each episode broadcast live and featuring a new celebrity host and musical guest, alongside topical sketches and live performances. All 11 cast members — Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young — are returning.

Lorne Michaels, the creator behind the U.S. edition of Saturday Night Live, serves as executive producer on the show, with James Longman as lead producer. Laura Claxton has been promoted to co-head writer, while Heather MacVean joins the team as costume designer. Sinead Oldnall will lead the U.K. talent team as director of onscreen talent.

Broadcaster Sky has said that the initial six episodes will deliver a “fresh season of unpredictable, must watch Saturday night television,” with further episodes planned to follow in early 2027. A trailer for the upcoming season has also dropped.

Fans will be able to apply to be part of the live studio audience, with a ticket ballot going live at 10 a.m. BST on Friday (Aug. 14). Further ticketing information can be found on Sky’s website.

The first Saturday Night Live U.K. series kicked off with host Tina Fey, a Saturday Night Live veteran, followed by a lineup that included actors Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, Nicola Coughlan, Aimee Lou Wood, Hannah Waddingham, Ncuti Gatwa and comedian Jack Whitehall.

The opening musical guests featured homegrown talents such as Wet Leg, Wolf Alice, Holly Humberstone, Jorja Smith and Kasabian, among others. Pauli Lovejoy, who is currently performing in Harry Styles’ Together, Together Tour band, served as the show’s musical director.

Speaking to Billboard U.K. in an interview earlier this year, Lovejoy explained: “Music has always been a part of SNL and is supporting the comedy. It isn’t just a by-product, it’s in support of the amazing writing that’s happening. My job is to support the comedy. And when it’s done, right, you don’t even notice it.”
