Kate Winslet has signed up for her first major Netflix drama series.

The Oscar-winning British actress will star alongside Maxine Peake in The Unheard, which hails from the team behind Emmy-winning smash hit Adolescence.

Written by Jack Thorne, here’s the log line: “This limited series tells the story of two sisters who go on the run after an act of vengeance goes wrong. As they are desperately pursued, we ask the question: What pushed them to this reckless act, and was it ever their intention to get away with it?”

The five-part series will be directed by Mounia Akl. The producers are Warp Films, Matriarch Productions and Plan B, the companies behind Adolescence.
