Jay-Z adds more cities and dates to his 30th anniversary limited comeback tour, with stops in New York City, Los Angeles, and Paris.
Jay-Z has announced more shows for the 30th anniversary of his album Reasonable Doubt, with stops at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium and Paris’ Stade de France. He’s also scheduled to hit his native New York City this summer. These concerts follow his recent headlining performance at the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia.
The Roc Nation founder announced two additional shows in Los Angeles and Paris in celebration of the anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt. The European shows will take place on Thursday, September 10, while the Los Angeles show is scheduled for Friday, October 23.
The announcement comes a week after the rap legend played in Philadelphia at the Roots Picnic on May 30—his first solo headlining performance in years. It was a notable set, as the Roots famously served as Jay-Z’s backing band for his “MTV Unplugged” special in 2001, as well as his Reasonable Doubt 10th anniversary concert at Radio City Music Hall in 2006.
On July 10, he will also take the stage at Yankee Stadium, followed by a 25th anniversary concert for The Blueprint on July 11. Another show was also added on July 12 to combine both sets due to high demand.
Tickets for the Los Angeles and Paris shows will be available beginning with Citi and Mastercard presales on July 11. The general onsale will begin Friday, July 12, at 10 AM local time via Live Nation.
Released by Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records in June 1996, Reasonable Doubt featured collaborations with greats like The Notorious B.I.G. and Mary J. Blige. The Blueprint debuted on September 11, 2001, spent three weeks on the Billboard 200, and is often regarded as one of the best works in the genre.
Since February, Jay-Z has been promoting the 30th anniversary celebration through a dedicated website and making the 1996 album available on streaming for the first time. More of his catalog has slowly appeared on streaming services after years of being available only on Tidal, which he purchased in 2015 before selling his majority stake in 2021.
Last summer, the rapper made a surprise appearance during a couple of his wife Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter shows. The couple has three children together, including their eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, who has also appeared onstage at her mother’s shows.
