Megan Stalter ended her run on Hacks recently as she dropped her new single “Prettiest Girl in America.”

While making an appearance at Bravo‘s Las Culturistas Culture Awards 2026, days after the HBO Max series ended, Stalter revealed she was sad about the finale.

“I feel very sick. I feel very sad. I couldn’t stop crying the day that it came out,” Stalter told Deadline on the red carpet, which took place on May 30.

Stalter told us that she had not watched the finale at that time “because I feel like when I watch it, it’ll be like, ‘It’s over.’ I can’t breathe thinking about it.”

“I am very nervous,” the actress said about watching the finale, adding, “I’m nervous for it to be like it feels over. But it’s such a beautiful ending. It’s just so perfect. It couldn’t have ended any other way.”

As the Hacks chapter closed, many fans are asking for a spinoff centered on her character, which Stalter says she’s open to.

“I feel like the fans want a spinoff,” she said. “I’d literally show up anytime. I would delete the songs.”

When the topic of possibly starting a petition to request a spinoff came up, Stalter joked, “I think people need to be more aggressive.”

Stalter played Kayla Schaefer in the HBO Max series throughout its five-season run. Kayla was Jimmy’s (Paul W. Downs) assistant and later co-manager. In the series, Stalter also shared credits with Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Rose Abdoo, Mark Indelicato, among many others.

Following her role on Hacks, Stalter will make her Broadway debut in Oh, Mary! as Mary Todd Lincoln.

Las Culturistas Culture Awards airs Wednesday, June 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo and will simulcast on Peacock.
