Stella Lefty‘s love for the song “Stick Season” by Noah Kahan is getting more evident following her comments about the song.
In a new interview, Stella addressed why she gave a writing credit to Noah on her song “Boston,” which has been a huge hit on the Billboard Hot 100 this summer.
“When I was writing the song, I wasn’t thinking about Noah Kahan. I was literally thinking about nothing at all,” Stella told Vanity Fair.

Stella said that Noah‘s team reached out and said, “We think this sounds similar.” She and her team decided to give the writing credit to avoid any legal action. She said, “I don’t want to step on anybody’s toes, so I’m like, if this sounds like that, whatever, all good.”
Well, “Stick Season” is actually one of Stella‘s favorite songs and she covered it dozens of times on her TikTok page before she ever got famous.
Someone made a compilation of many of Stella‘s cover videos, including one clip where she told viewers, “Okay, I’m singing this again because Noah Kahan is like one of my favorite artists of all time and I really want him to see this video because maybe he’ll want to be my friend.”

Stella just announced her headlining tour for 2027 and she’s been adding more dates due to demand already.
