Taylor Bloom plays one of the three siblings on NBC’s new hit series Line of Fire and he’s actually one of five siblings in real life!
The actor, who stars as Department of Justice analyst Russ Hollingsworth on the NBC show, has opened up about life with four brothers, including one twin.
“I am the youngest of a large family of five brothers and big personalities and heavy hitters and people who get things done,” Taylor told Esquire.
Taylor added, “Finding your space at the table at Christmas dinner is a really unique little dance. And it’s something that I can bring to Russ because he’s a part of this family that is one of the most high-achieving, high-pressure families you could be part of.”
In an interview with Vestal Magazine, Taylor said that he “learned to disappear” while growing up in such a large family and felt that he would “always take up more space than I could deserve.” It wasn’t until he started acting at age 11 that he found a place to funnel his energy.
Taylor was asked if he has anything in common with his character.
“For me and Russ, we have a lot in common. Neither myself nor Russ is naive to the fact that there are bad things happening in the world, but we both believe that the good is stronger and will win, and that’s on the macro and on the micro scale. That pretty much informs every aspect and avenue of Russ as a character. There’s always just a little shadow in the back of your mind about Am I actually enough?,” he told Esquire.
What else has Taylor Bloom starred in?
Taylor is still a relative newcomer. He made his professional on-screen acting debut in season 11 of American Horror Story, playing the role of Stewart Bowers in four episodes. He also appeared in an episode of The Vince Staples Show.
Taylor is a trained theater actor who previously starred in the North American touring production of The Simon & Garfunkel Story, playing the role of Paul Simon.
