Laura Wright isn’t leaving General Hospital anytime soon!
On Saturday (August 8), the 55-year-old Emmy-winning actress reassured a fan that she has no plans on leaving the long-running ABC soap opera after playing Carly Spencer for over two decades.
“Can I just say if you ever leave General Hospital as Carly I will stop watching the show,” the fan wrote on X. “I honestly have loved you and think that you are the best person to play Carly.”
“I’m not going anywhere,” Laura responded. “Just signed a new contract !!!”
The official confirmation comes after Laura previously hinted at her return to GH. On August 2, she shared a selfie of Instagram to show off her new blonder hair.
In the caption of the post, Laura wrote, “Fresh color thanks to @andrea_peterman_ Ready to head back to Port Charles!!! Let the fun begin.”
