Amazon Prime Day is back, and the retailer is bringing its annual shopping day to the masses earlier than ever this year.

Amazon has announced that Prime Day 2026 will take place from June 23 to 26, 2006. That breaks with tradition, as Prime Day has typically been held in July as a counter to the busy Black Friday period (think of it like a “Christmas in July” shopping event). Prime Day has also expanded beyond just a single day, with recent events spanning more than 48 hours. Last year’s Prime Day dates, for example, ran from July 8 to 11. This year’s Prime Day also spans multiple days.

Amazon revealed June 23-26 as the official 2026 Prime Day date, confirming that it is being moved up to June this year. Previous Prime Days have taken place around the second or third weeks of the month, so this is in keeping with the past years. The savings kick off officially on June 23 at 12:01 a.m. PDT, though early Prime Day deals are already starting to appear on the site.

Prime Day is a great time to pick up high-end electronics on sale, like these Sony Noise-Canceling Headphones.

Amazon has once-again promised “millions” of deals across their entire site, with a press release for 2026 teasing “deep discounts” across more than 35 categories on the site. In particular, key shopping categories identified by Amazon for Prime Day are clothing, beauty, kitchen, home and electronics.

Amazon Prime members can also score savings on groceries, TV and movie streaming picks on Prime Video, and music streaming on Amazon Music Unlimited, among other offers. Early Prime Day deals have already started, with up to 65% off Amazon’s slate of Alexa-enabled devices, including the Echo Dot Max, Echo Show 11, Kindle, Ring Camera and more.

This charging dock is sold exclusively on Amazon.com.

We love the Kindle charging stand above (currently 33% off as of this writing) and Amazon will also discount Kindle Device bundles, plus offer up to 65% off books, and up to 80% off Kindle titles, with three months of free access to Kindle Unlimited and Audible.

Other Amazon devices on sale for Prime Day include Fire TV models, Blink security cameras and eero wireless products. Amazon’s slate of Alexa-enabled devices always go on sale, and the site says the Ring Battery Doorbell and Fire TV Stick HD were two of the event’s best-selling items last year.

The 42mm Apple Watch Series 11 model is already on sale for 25% off (as of this writing).

Last year’s top Prime Day deals saw savings on best-selling brands like Apple, BIODANCE, Dyson, Medicube, Philips Sonicare, Samsung and more. Prime Day 2025 also offered $30 off purchases of $150 or more across all Amazon Fresh selection, including fresh produce and other grocery items delivered to your door.

The Fire TV Stick with Alexa voice remote is once again expected to be on sale.

Amazon reported that the 2025 Prime Day event was “bigger than any previous four-day period,” with “record sales and more items sold during the four days.” The site also says that customers “saved billions on deals across more than 35 product categories—more savings than any previous Prime Day event.”

The Ring doorbell camera now features live head-to-toe video, two-way talk and motion detection.

As with all Prime Day events, the best deals this year will be reserved for Amazon Prime members. Not a member? Sign up for a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime here.

In addition to getting early access to Prime Day and the best discounts (with free shipping), your Prime membership gets you free streaming of Prime Video shows and movies, free music streaming on Amazon Music and free photo storage, among other perks.

As mentioned earlier, this is one of the only times Amazon Prime Day has deviated from its July dates. Prime Day was moved to October in 2020 due to the pandemic. The success of that event led Amazon to launch a second Prime-exclusive deals event in October, which is now known as Prime Big Deal Days.
