A new partnership with Apple Music Classical will see all new Wigmore Hall Live releases premiere exclusively on the platform for three months.
West Londonâs Wigmore Hall has announced a new partnership with Apple Music Classical, which will see all new Wigmore Hall Live releases premiere exclusively on the platform for three months. Wigmore Hall Live will release four digital-only recordings per year, developed in close collaboration with artists and drawn from live performances at the Hall.
As part of the Hallâs longstanding commitment to supporting artists, every new release will be paid for entirely by Wigmore, which will take no share of recording income and will pass 100% of the royalties received directly to the performing artists.
The first recording will be released on Friday, June 5, exclusively on Apple Music Classical, and features pianist Boris Giltburg performing Beethovenâs Piano Sonatas Nos. 4, 8, 9, 20 (âPathĂ©tiqueâ) and 26 (âLes Adieuxâ). The performances were recorded live at Wigmore Hall in February 2025. The release will be accompanied by an artist commentary track from Giltburg, offering deep insight into the repertoire.
âWigmore Hall Live has always sought to capture something uniqueâthe intimacy and spontaneity of live performance in the Hall, so we are delighted to partner with Apple Music Classical.
